Quick Weight Loss Tips to Rock Your Bikini!

 

Bikini season is almost here – just a week until Memorial Day Weekend – so if you’ve just realized that you’re not prepared to look great in your bikini, these quick weight-loss tips can help you prepare to look your best on bikini day! Remember: there is no substitute for a healthy diet and exercise, and you should consult your doctor before beginning a diet and weight loss plan. But if you’re just looking for a few quick tips to help you get that last little distance, try this!

Change Your Eating Habits
Most of us think of “diet” as a dirty word, so if you’re trying to get in shape quick for bikini season, start by changing your eating habits!

Fiber helps you feel full, so start your day by eating a bowl of oatmeal or low-sugar cereal in the morning with some strawberries or bananas. You’ll feel full and get some great nutrients for your body!

Add lots of salad to your diet. Use spray dressing, as people tend to use less with a spray. A sprinkling of cheese or nuts can add flavor and take your salad from bland to tasty, but go easy on these high-fat additions.

Fish is great for losing weight, and fish oil is fabulous for maintaining supple skin – which will have you looking great in your bikini! Fish is a great source of protein to add to your diet.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, swap out those high-calorie deserts for some tasty yogurt. Or snack on some apples – as many as you want! Both contain great vitamins for skin and can contribute to your weight loss.

And of course – stay hydrated! Drink lots of water, which hydrates your skin and makes it appear smooth and supple. Just what you want on bikini day! Water also helps you feel fuller throughout the day.

Add More Exercise
There’s no magic bullet that substitutes for exercise. Do at least 30 minutes of aerobics at least 3-times per week. Cross-training can help you get all the body parts. Switch it up; ride a bike one day, do dance on day two and fast walk or run on day three.

Add weight training, pushups and crunches to help tone your body. 20 minutes of weight training 2 times per week can help build your body. Add pushups and crunches to your strength training to tone your upper body and core and look great when bikini day arrives!

Pamper Your Body
Drink plenty of water as you prepare for bikini day, which is great for your skin. Two days before you’re going to debut your bikini, shave and buff with a buff puff to remove dead skin. Finish with a hydrating lotion to help your skin glow. Optionally, the day before you’re going out in your new bikini, you can use a self-tanner to give yourself a healthy glow. Apply it to your entire body in an even layer, and make sure you get one that is right for your skin tone!
