Conturelle does a lot of work on bra development - and it shows!

Bra design is constantly evolving as designers strive to keep up with our needs. But seriously – most of us women who wear bras aren’t engineers, so we only have a vague idea of what’s involved in the design and construction process. It’s actually pretty cool, though – understanding the design process offers insights into the cost of bras, why some bras fit better than others and hold up better than others, and what differentiates one brand from another.

The Concept and Prototype
Every new bra design starts with a concept; typically in an attempt to solve some sort of problem. With the clothes we women are wearing these days, one of the biggest areas where design has been evolving is in the creation of plunge bras – particularly convertible plunge bras. So let’s look at the design process for a new plunge bra.

When a designer conceives a concept, he sketches a technical design, and a pattern is created from that design. From the pattern, a prototype is crafted. Many of the higher-end designers craft these “working models” by hand, although some companies that use machines for their manufacture process machine a new prototype.

A new design usually goes through a lot of iterations. A pair of cups may be formed by “hot pressing” foam into the proper shape. Straps and band are then sewn on; maybe by hand or by machine, depending on the shop. The designer looks at the prototype and then tweaks the details, with the idea of making sure that every part is both fashionable and functional.

The Working Model
When the designer has a working model he’s happy with, a live “fit model” is brought in. The fit model wears the prototype, and offers feedback to the designer. Fit models talk about where the bra is comfortable, where the fit feels off, what they think of it – all the things we think about when we wear bras. The designer then tweaks the bra, develops a new prototype, and then brings the fit model back for another round of review.

Some higher-end designers, such as Conturelle, use many different fit models with different body types to see how the fit is from woman to woman, and make sure they end up with the most comfortable product. Some designers have women wear the working models for hours, or days, doing a variety of activities, to make more in-depth comments about fit. But all of this costs money, which goes into the development of the bra; so generally, the bras at lower price points can’t afford to do as much extensive testing. You can typically assume that bras at higher price points have more time spent on development.

Is the Bra Sellable?
Once the bra designer is happy with the design, has plenty of feedback from the fit model(s) and is ready to move forward, the bra goes into a phase where the designers, manufacturers and marketers collaborate to ensure they have a sellable product. Ideally, designers want their bras to appeal to as many women as possible, although more and more designers are now offering niche bras where they see a need. But plenty of great bras never make it into production because the parties involved can’t agree that it’s sellable, and put together a great marketing plan.

If all the parties involved can agree that it’s sellable, production begins – and then your bra starts the process of getting to your local retailer!

Bet you’ll look at your bra differently the next time you put it on, now that you know some of the effort that goes into design! In our next post, we’ll look at the next part of the process: production, distribution and how your bra makes it to your retailer!

Ladies, bras and undergarments have been making news headlines a lot lately. The media seems obsessed with what we’re wearing under our clothes, and some celebrities have been feeding the flames. Even international skiers are now being quizzed on their undergarments. What do you think about all the attention that women’s undergarments are getting these days? Do you think that bras, panties and other undergarments should be figured so prominently in the news – or that they belong in our closets and under our clothes? No matter what you think about the topic, the reality is clear: the world is paying a lot more attention than we realize to our underwear!

Kathy Griffin Strips Down to Her Bra on David Letterman’s Show
We did an article a few weeks ago on Kathy Griffin stripping down to her bra and panties during the New Year’s Eve coverage. Now she’s gone and done it again on popular late-night show “Late Show with David Letterman!” If you saw the broadcast, clearly Griffin is joking around after her “bra and panties” segment on the New Year’s Eve coverage. But is it appropriate for Griffin to strip down again on late night television? And do you think it should be garnering all the news coverage it has?

Celebs Going Bra-Less Drawing Attention
At any given time, you can do a search for “bra” news and see half a dozen reports of various celebrities going bra-less and drawing media attention. Most of the time, these poor women have just stepped out on a day off or while they’re on their own time, minding their own business, and the media swoops in and captures them “braless.” Do you think news coverage is warranted when Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus or Cameron Diaz choose not to wear a bra? Whether you consider it newsworthy or not, ladies – one thing is definitely clear from this media attention: people notice when you go out without a bra!

Slovenian Skier Dons Controversial Underwear
A Slovenian skier, Tina Maze, has made news for wearing a controversial set of long underwear whose plastic content allegedly “exceeded International Ski Federation (FIS) rules, giving her an aerodynamic edge.” The FIS took away the undergarment for testing, and at an event yesterday, Maze sported a white sport bra with “Not your business” written in black marker. She showed the bra briefly to TV cameras while waiting in the leader’s box at Sunday’s World Cup super-G race. When asked for comment, Maze said that she wanted to make it clear that what she wears under her clothes is no-one’s business; just her own.

This is only a few of the dozens of examples of women’s bras and undergarments making the news lately. What do you think, ladies – do people care too much what women are wearing under their clothes? Do you think it’s anyone’s business what we’re wearing under there? Or do you think the media should find something else to report about, and leave women’s bras and underwear for fashion events, shopping venues and our closets?

Guys - do you think your lady would like this? If you can't answer "yes" or "no" with decisiveness, you need these tips!

Earlier this week, we took a look at what lingerie guys find sexy. Today, we’re going to look at what ladies like! A 2008 survey of 10,000 women revealed that 89% of women didn’t like the lingerie that their guys bought for them! Over half the women surveyed specifically cited red as being “cheap” and “tacky,” and nearly a third of the women surveyed got a bra gift two sizes too small! Well, gents – this isn’t the Grinch’s heart we’re talking about here – we ladies deserve a little time and attention to detail if you’re going to buy us lingerie. Fortunately, we’ve got a few tips for you that will make shopping for lingerie for your lady a little bit easier!

Don’t be Afraid to Talk with a Salesperson!
Men, salespeople in the lingerie don’t bite – in fact, they’re some of the nicest people you’ll meet, and they genuinely want to help you find something that both of you will like. And most of those people are women – we’ve all been on the wrong side of a bad lingerie gift before, so we always want to make sure it’s special and the lady who’s receiving it is going to love it! So when you’re picking out lingerie for your special lady, don’t be afraid to talk to a salesperson. Describe (or show) some of your lady’s favorite bras and panties and the salesperson can help you find a good gift.

Think Romantic – not Racy!
Men, you may like to see something exciting and sexy on your lady – but don’t just get her something racy you’d like to see her wear. Get her something she’ll love! When you’re thinking lingerie, think romantic. A romantic, intimate gift will set the mood far better, and you’ll enjoy her appreciation! When in doubt, a bra and panty set rarely goes wrong, but stay away from things like “crotchless” or “cutout nipples.” Red is an extremely popular color around Christmas and Valentines day, but a survey has revealed that many women feel that red is “cheap” or “tacky.” Something in a different color might be better received; it shows you’re thinking about what she would like instead of what you’d like to see her wearing.

Don’t Go Alone – Bring a Friend or Sister
We don’t blame you for being intimidated by lingerie, guys – but we girls aren’t! So if you really want to make sure you get the right gift, instead of buying something out of panic that your lady may or may not like – consult a friend, or even your lady’s sister. Our gal pals know our taste and can help you find the perfect lingerie. (But if you do this, make sure your lady isn’t the jealous type and wouldn’t mind you lingerie shopping with her friend or relative!)

Get the Size Right!
Fellas, this is such a frustrating problem to us girls: when you buy us lingerie in the wrong size! Don’t be afraid to ask her size, guys. Or go into your lady’s closet or dresser, check out her bras and panties and write the size down. Or even bring some of her bras and panties with you when you shop to show or describe to a salesperson, who can help you find the right size and a style that matches your lady’s taste.

Shopping for lingerie isn’t rocket science, guys. But a little attention to detail will go a long way in making your lady happy – even if what you get her isn’t perfect, she’ll appreciate the thought you put into it.

All right, ladies – we all know there are certain times when we want to dress up for our significant others and look hot and sexy. But if your SO is a man, who knows what he thinks about – aside from the obvious? What lingerie do men find sexy, and how can you make the biggest impact when you’re dressing up for him? We’re here today to share some tips and help you find the right lingerie to wear for your man – the bra and panties that will keep him interested and coming back for more!

Men Base their Lingerie Choices for Women Primarily on Sex Appeal
It probably comes as no surprise to most of us, but a study conducted by bra retailer Maidenform supported the idea that more than half of men who buy lingerie for their partners base the choice primarily on sex appeal! In this study, 54% of men said they buy what they like first – over what they think their partner would like! This is no surprise to those of us who have gotten uncomfortable, skimpy little pieces of lingerie from our partners – but it’s nice to have a formal study supporting the results. It’s official, ladies: men buy us what they want to see us in!

Red and Black are Mens’ Favorite Lingerie Colors
So if you want to make an impact when you buy your sexy lingerie, what color should you be looking for? Personal preference varies from man to man, but various sources claim that men are most attracted to red or black lingerie. A British bra retailer claims to have studies that support men find red lingerie most attractive, and the sale of red lingerie soars around Christmas and Valentine’s Day! (And speaking of which, with Valentine’s Day less than a month away, now is the time to start thinking about what lingerie you might like to wear for your special someone.)

But a Marks and Spencer survey revealed that 33% of men choose black lingerie for their ladies, while only 16% choose red. Whether you believe Marks and Spencer or the Brits, you probably won’t go wrong with black or red lingerie.

Men Like a Bra That’s Doing its Job
One thing men agree on: they all appreciate a bra that’s doing its job. No matter what color or style men prefer, they all agree that a properly fitted bra that lifts and supports – and creates great cleavage – is a bra they like. (Although some of them might be embarrassed to admit they can articulate that!) So ladies – make sure your bra is properly fitted so you know you’re looking your best for your man!

Favorite Bra Cuts and Fabric Vary
When it comes to the details, mens’ preferences vary. One popular bra cut that comes up again and again, though, is the demi bra; most men seem to appreciate a good demi. Other popular bra cuts among men include a good cleavage bra, like a plunge bra, balcony bra or push-up bra. Many men also report that they like to see a little lace or brocade on a bra, so those feminine details DO get noticed, ladies!

No matter what they answered about specifics, the thing that men kept coming back to is that a confident woman is the sexiest thing of all. So if you want to get his attention, buy the lingerie that brings out your inner flirt and catch his eye!

Alright, girls, it’s time to get real – going bra-less is, officially, a fashion faux pas. Many women with smaller busts do it because they don’t feel they need the support of a bra, and not wearing a bra is less restrictive – i.e. more comfortable. But even if you don’t need a bra, the nipple can still show through – especially thin cotton shirts and other thin, clingy materials – which is generally not socially acceptable. And for most of us, not wearing a bra leaves us with saggy, sad-looking boobs. So today we’re going to take a real, honest look at why you shouldn’t go bra-less – and some options for those situations when you feel you must, or you just don’t want to wear a bra.

Going Braless Isn’t Socially Acceptable
Women have gone braless for centuries. In many countries around the world, women still go braless. But here in the United States, at least, and also in the UK, it’s not really socially acceptable to go braless. This is probably due, in large part, to the emphasis on looking good. Bra-less boobs are often saggy, their shape isn’t as flattering and it’s pretty obvious when you’re wearing a shirt without a bra. And then there’s the nipple poke.

Some women feel strongly that their bodies are their business, and they shouldn’t have to wear a bra if they don’t want to. Some women feel it’s a feminist statement, and some women just don’t wear a bra because they find bras uncomfortable. Regardless of the reasons – some of which are quite good, because we certainly don’t want to promote anything that hurts women’s rights – the reality is that going out without a bra draws attention and is considered not socially acceptable.

Plus, let’s be honest – most of us don’t look great without bras. It’s an unflattering look on most women; our clothes don’t fit right; and we may look heavier or older than we are because of our natural body shapes or sagging breasts.

Braless Fashion Solutions
If you must go braless because of the cut of a dress or shirt, there are a couple of options to help solve some of the problems inherent in going braless. Breast petals can help prevent nipple show-through when you’re braless. Something like the Fashion Forms Adhesive Body Bra can provide some coverage when you go braless. But these options are best at helping with coverage; they offer only limited support. This may be ok for small-busted women, but for larger-busted ladies, we need support! A plunge cut bra, demi bra, strapless bra or backless bra may be a better choice for bigger busted ladies who don’t want a visible bra in shirts or dresses with a unique cut, but also want the support a bra provides.

Another option for the ladies who prefer to go braless is a camisole or shaper with an attached shelf-bra or built-in bra. Something like a camisole won’t provide as much support and shaping as an actual bra, but it can be a decent compromise for ladies who don’t want to wear bras but don’t want to stand out, either.

A word of advice, though – if you’re a bra-holdout and comfort is what’s keeping you from wearing a bra, there are plenty of comfortable bras that can solve that problem.

What do you think ladies – do you go braless?

Some of the most egregious bra faux pas are related to bra fit, the way your clothes fit and the style of bra you’re wearing. Uniboob is one of the most unflattering bra problems that women have; a single shelf of bustline with no definition and no shaping. But double boob is another problem that many women have – and don’t even realize it’s a bra faux pas! To keep you looking your best, your boobs should be shapely and defined by your bra. A well-supported, well-shaped bust can help you look slimmer and feel more confident, and with the right outfit, you can turn heads! But a poorly defined bustline, or double-boob issues can make you look overweight, too big for your clothes, not aware of your appearance or a variety of other unflattering social faux pas.

Fighting Uniboob

A compression-style sport bra can offer support, but at the cost of fashion, creating a uniboob appearance

Uniboob is when your breasts appear to merge to create one large shelf of boob. Uniboob is a problem that a lot of larger-busted women have, but it can also be an issue for women with average or small bust sizes with the wrong clothes and the wrong bras. The most common cause of uniboob is the bra itself. Many sports bras create uniboob with their compression-style design; they compress the breasts against the chest and visually look like one wide mass of breast tissue through your clothes. If your sports bra creates uniboob, consider switching to an encapsulation-style spots bra; these sports bras support each breast individually – hence the name encapsulation – and provide more individualized shaping.

Uniboob can also be caused by wearing clothes that are too tight in the chest, thus squashing your breasts together or stretching tightly across the bustline. But finding clothes that are large enough in the chest but not too big elsewhere can be a problem for bigger-busted women who wear otherwise small clothing sizes. If this is a problem you have, try switching to a front-closure bra that pulls your breasts inward; this can relieve a bit of the pressure on the top and help provide more definition. Alternately, you can add inserts, like cutlets, to help boost your breasts up. The cleavage helps to dispel the appearance of uniboob.

The Double Boob Problem

Pamela Anderson illustrates the double boob problem here

Double chins are so last year, ladies – today’s problem is the double boob. A double-boob is when your breasts spill over the top of your bra, creating a bulge above your breasts that looks like another boob – a double boob. This is a problem both in shirts with a higher cut; a bulge can show through your shirt pressing out against the fabric; and in lower-cut tank tops and other shirts, where the double boob bulge is visible. I’ve gotta tell you, ladies – I see it all the time in the summer, and it ain’t flattering!

Most often, the double boob problem is caused by wearing the incorrect bra size. A cup size that is too small can create the double boob issue (and is also the most common bra sizing error) so try going up a cup size and down a band size – check out our fit guidelines for details. Alternately, some women with looser breast tissue have double boob problems with demi bras and other bras that don’t offer full-coverage. If you’ve got looser breast tissue, a full cup bra in the correct size can solve your double boob issues.

Smoothing camis can help solve a lot of bra faux pas

The best bra is one that lifts and supports and shapes – and does it all without being seen. If your bra is showing through your shirt, or you see a bra outline or bra bulge – it’s not doing its job, and it can be embarrassing! Today’s tips and tricks can help you avoid the bra faux pas of show-through and bulge, and keep you looking confident and great without everyone else looking at your bra!

Preventing Bra Show Through: Color Matters
If women think about the color of their bra, or matching their bra, it’s usually just matching the bra with the panties – but there’s more to it than that, ladies! The color of the bra you’re wearing makes a big difference in show-through. Nude bras are the most versatile; you can wear them under pretty much all light colors without showing through. Black or dark-colored bras are best under dark clothes. Nude bras can show through loose-knit or tight-fitting dark shirts, but black bras vanish under dark shirts.

As crazy as it sounds, white bras, though, wear best under close-knit, loose-fitting dark clothes or bright colors; they can show through white shirts or pale pastels. In fact, because nude bras are more versatile than white bras, a white bra is more-or-less wardrobe optional these days; rarely will you need a white bra, and it can actually be a detriment depending on the colors and styles of clothes you wear.

Master these tricks of matching the right bra color with the right outfit, and you’ll never have to worry about bra show-through again!

Dealing with Bra Bulge and Bra Outlines
The bra bulge is one of those insidious threats that may sneak up on you unawares. You’re out, having a good time, and you happen to catch a glimpse of yourself in a reflective surface and notice the dreaded bulge! Bra bulge most often happens on the back or under the arms, and is typically a result of a poorly-fitting bra. If your band is too tight, it may cause bra bulge. Some women may benefit from bras with a wider back band or power-net wings to help more evenly distribute the bra’s weight and pull, and reduce bulge. Another option to combat bra bulge may be a smoothing cami with bra or other shapewear.

If you’re dealing with bra bulge, the first thing to do is check your bra fit and make sure you’re wearing the right bra size (80% of women aren’t, ladies!). Once you’ve got your sizing right, try a variety of different bras to find the style most flattering for you. If you’ve still got bulge problems, or you want to proactively combat the issue, shapewear is the right call.

Bra outlines, too, can be addressed with shapewear or a smoothing cami, because outlines are caused by many of the same culprits. However, another thing to think about with a bra outline is whether you’re wearing the right bra for the outfit. Seamless bras, molded cup bras and t-shirt bras, for example, work better under t-shirts; whereas embroidered bras may show through. Match the right bra to the right outfit and you can reduce the risk of bra outline and still look great!

Yesterday we talked about the bra faux pas of visible bra straps; today we’re going to go one step further and talk about a visible bra. This one is really a hot topic; some people feel that you should NEVER show your bra, while others feel it’s ok for a tasteful bra to play peek-a-boo under a nice shirt on a night out. If you’re part of the “sometimes” school, there’s definitely a time and place for it – and a right way to do it. We’ve also got some tricks to help keep you from accidentally displaying your bra.

When is a Visible Bra OK?
Even if you’re one of the people who feels a visible bra is ok to display under the right circumstances – there are definitely times when a visible bra is ok and when it *isn’t* ok. A visible bra is totally inappropriate in the office – basically, any time you’re expected to maintain a “professional” or “business casual” dress code, a visible bra isn’t acceptable. It’s also never ok at places like a PTA meeting, a child’s birthday party – anywhere young and impressionable minds could reasonably be expected to be exposed. Visible bras are generally ok for evenings out, depending on the dress code of where you’re going.

How to Do a Visible Bra Tastefully
Ladies, there’s definitely a “right way” and a “wrong way” to do a visible bra. The right way to do a visible bra is to let a beautiful lace bra peak out around the edges of a button-down or v-necked shirt. But when you unbutton your shirt too far, or are basically just showing your entire bra – that’s generally considered the “wrong” way to do a visible bra.

Also, if you’re going to show your bra, make sure it’s a nice bra. Lace and embroidery help. You don’t want to show off a plain bra, or a bra that is fraying or dirty – pretty much the same rules apply as for showing your bra straps. Something like the Le Mystere Isabella All Over Lace Bra or the Conturelle Belle de Jour Underwire Lace Bra would be a good choice, with embellished lacy necklines, beautiful embroidery and great cleavage.

Tricks for Avoiding a Peek-a-Boo Bra
If it’s one of those times when you definitely don’t want to show your bra, one great trick is to use double-stick tape to stick your shirt or dress in place and prevent slipping or bra peeking. If you’re having trouble getting it to adhere, we’ve also got Fashion Forms Dress and Lingerie Tapes – designed straight or curved to fit where needed and prevent slipping or shifting.

Another trick is to match the right bra to the right outfit. If you’re wearing a plunging v-neck shirt, for example, a plunge bra might be a good match. For a lower-cut shirt or a shirt with a wide neckline, a demi bra is a great way to get coverage that won’t peek over your clothes. A versatile bra wardrobe is your foundation to a versatile fashion wardrobe, so make sure you’ve got the right bra to support your style.

This week here at Big Girls’ Bras, we’re going to look at some of the most common bra faux pas and how you can avoid them. Today, let’s look at the faux pas of visible bra straps. In many parts of the United States, it’s socially acceptable to display visible bra straps – in fact, some women consider them fashion accessories. The faux pas come in when your visible bra strap doesn’t meet fashion standards. What are the acceptable ways to display visible bra straps and which are faux pas? How can you turn your bra straps into fashion accessories? Here’s what you need to know, ladies:

Bra Straps have Expiration Dates
First and foremost, when you let your bra shine through as a fashion accessory, you’ve got to keep in mind that your bra straps have expiration dates. Bright, vibrant, color-coordinated bra straps can become fashion accessories, but dull, dingy or dirty bra straps are fashion no-nos. Likewise, if your bra straps are worn, frayed or shabby-looking – keep them hidden! Bra strap expiration dates are easy to figure out: if your bra straps don’t look good, don’t show them!

Invisible Bra Straps and Strap-Hiding Devices
If you don’t want to show your bra straps, you’ve got a few options: invisible bra straps, strap-hiding accessories and strapless bras. Strapless bras are the most obvious solution, but full-busted women may have trouble finding a good strapless bra that provides the support they need. Invisible straps may be a great option for women who want to wear a bra with straps but don’t want to draw attention. Invisible straps are clear; you can technically still see them, but they don’t draw attention like bright, colorful bra straps. Some convertible bras come with a set of invisible straps, but you can also sometimes buy them separately.
Alternately, you can invest in an accessory designed to help hide your bra straps. The Fashion Forms Strap Tamers are one option; they’re clips that clip into any seam inside your clothes and hold your bra straps in place to prevent them from sliding out. The Fashion Forms Strap-Mate Clear See Through is another option; it holds your straps in place to prevent them from sliding off a shoulder or out from under your clothes. Finally, there’s something like the Fashion Forms Bra Strap Converter, which actually pulls the bra straps closer together and turns the bra into something like a racerback to prevent strap slippage and show-through.

Color Coordinating and Fashion Accessories
If you’re looking for the best way to show your bra straps, consider color-coordinating with your outfit, or even displaying your bra straps as fashion accessories. Matching and color-coordinating are considered acceptable ways to show off bra straps in much of the United States. You can also use something like the Marie Jo Tom Transition Straps, which turn your straps into something decorative and stylish, like a unique piece of jewelry. Or go with actual jewelry – some companies make something like the Fashion Forms Bra Strap Converter featured above, but more stylish – made to look like jewelry and designed to show on purpose. Choose a style that matches your personality, or even hang charms for a fun and flirty spin on a classic wardrobe problem.

Today was an exciting day for Panache; the Panache sports bra was featured on “The Today Show!” Bobbie Thomas was looking at products that could help women keep their New Year’s Resolution to lose weight and get fit, and the Panache Sports bra came in at the top of the list. Bobbie recommended this bra for its bounce-reduction design – for “girlfriends who have ‘girlfriends’” who need the bounce reduction of a sports bra that works for D through H cups. Check out Bobbie’s segment on “The Today Show!”

The Panache Sports Bra 5021
The Panache Sports Bra that was featured on “The Today Show” was the Panache Sports Bra 5021. This is an underwire sports bra with a range of smart design features to reduce bounce and keep you comfortable during your workout. The Panache Sports Bra is an encapsulation-style sport bra, with a firm underband designed to anchor the bra to the body and wide, padded straps to help disperse pressure on the shoulders for extra comfort.

The Panache Sports Bra 5021 features underwires wrapped in silicone and sewn between the fabric layers for extra support and maximum comfort. Smooth, molded inner cups are designed to reduce friction and increase comfort, and the lightweight microfiber fabric wicks moisture away from the skin. This sports bra also features mesh panels – very visible in the bra sample Bobbie displayed in her “Today Show” segment – which help keep you cool and promote airflow.

And finally – this bra is constructed with flat seams and a super-smooth shape to look great under your sportswear. Available in band sizes 28 to 40 and cup sizes up to H.

If you’ve made a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight or get into shape, consider the Panache Sports Bra as your partner in crime!

Adjust Your Sizing for Panache Bras
If you want to add this Panache sports bra to your workout wardrobe, remember to adjust the sizing relative to normal U.S. sizes. Panache’s sizing matches standard U.S. sizing up to DD cup, but above that, Panache’s cup options shift a bit, with the addition of sizes like FF and GG and the skipping over of the DDD that is present in U.S. sizing. Check your size on our Panache Lingerie Sizing chart under the bra on the Panache Sports Bra page to make sure you order your new sports bra in the right size.

And while we’re talking about size – don’t forget to make sure you’re wearing the right size! We talked about this last week, but the New Year is a great time to revisit your bra size and fit and make sure you’re wearing the correct bra size. Up to 80% of women wear the wrong bra size – that’s 4 out of 5, ladies! – and wearing the right (or wrong!) bra size can have a huge impact on the effectiveness of your sports bra. So if you’re looking for a sports bra to keep you in place while you work out, make sure your size is up-to-date and you’re shopping for the right size and fit!
